Emerald-green glass-clad and guarded by a 45-foot-tall bronze lion, the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino is located on a 115 acre site at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. With more than 5,000 rooms, the MGM Grand is the largest hotel…not only in Las Vegas, but in the world. MGM Grand is one of the few hotel complexes we know of that requires the use of a map. We suspect some of the bellhops keep copies in their back pockets, too.

MGM Grand is one of the true class acts in Las Vegas, with discerning guests who expect high quality service. Within its four 30-story emerald-green towers, the MGM Grand offers nine different styles of rooms to please any guest. MGM Grand offers a number of exciting amenities and services including tour packages, golf desk, wedding chapel, and two full service business centers, to name a few. For Fitness, Beauty, & Outdoor Fun, the MGM Grand offers guests no less than 5 pools from which to choose.

The casino at the MGM Grand is more than grand. It is the largest casino-entertainment complex in the world. A casino floor with so much electricity, the hair on the back of your neck will stand up. From Blackjack to Baccarat, Keno to Casino War and the largest selection of Slot games (5¢ to $500 machines) anywhere on the Las Vegas strip, the MGM Grand offers all the popular games. The MGM Grand is the place to be if you’re looking to get lucky during your upcoming Las Vegas NV Vacation.

The MGM Hotel and Casino is one of Las Vegas’ premier gaming complexes, providing travelers with a wide range of tantalizing activities and top-notch attractions. MGM Grand is home to the 17,157-seat Grand Garden Arena which hosts special events, including mega concerts and championship boxing. Being host to A-list concerts, events, celebrity entertainment, comedy, conventions, shows and restaurants, the MGM Grand is without a doubt the entertainment capital of Las Vegas Blvd.

One of the most famous attractions in Vegas, the Lion Habitat is a place for guests to view lions existing in a natural habitat. Started at the end of the last century to honor the lion and safeguard its preservation for future generations., the MGM Lion Habitat is located at the south side of the casino. Over three stories tall, and divided into three separate levels, visitors are able to view the lions through thick safety glass barriers from both above and below. Now, before the PETA members start calling a meeting, you should know that the MGM Lion Habitat is really just their home away from home. A handful of the cats are driven in each day from their main lodging, a giant ranch outside of Las Vegas where Veteran animal trainer/owner Keith Evans oversees, trains, feeds, and nurtures the lions.

Dining at the MGM Grand offers many different culinary choices, ranging from signature restaurants to more casual settings. Among 18 dining outlets, MGM Grand is home to celebrity chefs Wolfgang Puck, Emeril, and Joel Robuchon, along with numerous James Beard award-wining chefs making the MGM a culinary landmark in Las Vegas.
SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand is a totally innovative and exciting hotel experience created for modern and sophisticated travellers who expect the best wherever they go, enjoy art and outstanding design and have the incomes to match their desires. Located on top of the MGM Grand, each of the 51 lofts features 24-foot, floor-to-ceiling windows providing dramatic views of the world’s most famous skyline from every angle. SKYLOFTS at MGM Grand provides the discerning traveler a flawlessly modern home away from home. “In each Skyloft at MGM Grand, our guests will be treated to over $80,000 per room of audio/video integration,” stated Tobias Mattstedt, director of the Skylofts at MGM Grand. Skylofts located on the top two floors of MGM Grand is a personal retreat like no other.
The MGM Grand is renowned for its posh casino, headline entertainment, Studio 54 nightclub, “KA” by Cirque du Soleil, and the sensual French sensation “La Femme”, direct from the original Crazy Horse in Paris. There’s no shortage of great entertainment at the MGM Grand’s large theaters. The MGM Grand is an entertainment bonanza featuring world renowned comedy acts such as Robin Williams, Jerry Seinfeld, and Billy Crystal. With a never ending string of concerts and events, prize fights and magic shows, the MGM Grand is the place to be.

“Crazy Horse Paris ” is a first for America and Las Vegas, a show direct from one of the hottest nightspots in the world, the original Crazy Horse in Paris, famous for its productions celebrating beautiful woman and the art of the nude since 1951. The Crazy Horse combines the best of burlesque and cabaret with the best of Parisian fashion, art and women in an elegant, surprising and totally innovative manner. The show at MGM Grand is an exact replica of the acclaimed Crazy Horse in Paris, and all 13 dancers are members of the original Paris dance troupe. Dancers are trained in ballet and perfectly integrate into sensuous choreography as their bodies are bathed in colored and textured lighting designs to create dramatic effects: some subtle, some humorous and all sensual.

As one of the premier Las Vegas acts, Cirque du Soleil is a household name even among people who have never been to Vegas. “KA” is a beautiful acrobatic show, and is another of the troupe’s forays into their mysterious visual world. While remaining firmly rooted in Cirque du Soleil musical tradition, the recording features a symphony orchestra and a 40-member choir, as such creating a unique musical universe both epic and lyrical. While the music is undoubtedly in the same realm as previous Cirque shows, they have obviously assigned more importance to the music in KA. Because there is a storyline, one is able to watch just about everything going on the stage, unlike other Cirque shows where your attention is split because there is sometimes too much happening at one time.

Vegas goes back and forth on its position on whether size does matter, and the MGM Grand is a perfect example of that. With a never ending string of concerts and events, prize fights and magic shows, the MGM Grand is the place to be on your next Las Vegas NV Vacation!
